We did cake and ice cream for Kyle on Saturday so Mom and Jim could come and celebrate with us. Kyle wanted Do Nothing Cake, which isn't fancy, but tastes delicious! It has crushed pineapple in the cake and homemade German Chocolate cake frosting. Yum! Coconut and walnuts! Anyway, after blowing out his 9 candles, Kyle opened his presents from Grandma & Grandpa - a neat kite and some Speed Racer legos! Kyle is very much into legos these days. We got him some books with his birthday money (thanks Grandmas & Grandpas) and Papa John and Grandma Ronette contributed toward a very cool bike and helmet! Kyle was very happy with his gifts - thanks also to Aunt Leah who is very good at sending cards.

What a cool new bike!
Birthdays are always so much fun. We just got the girls their first bikes and they are having so much fun. I got my first bike for my 5th birthday. It was pink with a white basket on the front. It said princess down the side. I loved that bike. Do you remember it?
