We left Yuma on Wednesday afternoon (after a hour detour because of flash flooding) and made it safely to Springville Utah around 3 am. After sleeping in at my inlaws, we packed up a bunch of food and drove the few minutes to Spanish Fork where Greg's sister Vanessa and her husband David live. We (along with Greg's sister Camille's famiy) stayed there the rest of the weekend - thanks guys! The kids watched movies and made crafts while the men cooked the turkey in the deep fryer - yum!

Friday morning started early for Camille and I as we battled insane shoppers for great deals. I was happy to get most of the things on my list. After naps, and changing a flat tire, we took the kids to Cabella's, which they really enjoyed. Next was the dollar theater to see Wall-e, or for two of us, Mama Mia. {Great music, so-so plot.} More games and staying up late - and an early Christmas present for me since my camera died.
Saturday morning we got dressed up and attended my nephew Brandon's baptism. It was very nice and we're proud of him. The afternoon was filled with laughing, eating and playing at Robert and Jamie's house. Our kids get along so well, though we did miss Karissa's family.

That evening we drove down to Salt Lake and saw the beautiful lights at the temple.

Sunday was goodbyes and lots of driving. We got home late, and crawled into our beds, thankful for another year of our family, the gospel, health and security.

How fun! Even though those long trips can be tough, it's always worth it.

You packed a lot into a short time! It looks like you had a nice trip though.
I wish we could pop into Temple Square to see the lights, without taking the big trip!
Sounds like you guys had a great Thanksgiving! I love playing games with family. And how fun that you're kids have so many cousins!
